On July 5, Cal Athletics announced the selection of new head baseball coach, Mike Neu. Mike becomes the eleventh head coach in program history.
As the Bears’ pitching coach from 2012-2015, Mike played a significant role in rebuilding the program after its elimination and reinstatement in 2011, returning to the NCAA regionals in 2015, and achieving a top 10 ranking. Coach Neu’s message to the Baseball alums expresses his vision for the 2018 season and commitment to the legacy of greatness both on the field and in the classroom.
In their letter to the Cal baseball alumni, the Cal Baseball Foundation’s Alumni Relations coordinators, John Hughes and Jesse Ingram, encourage all alumni to support the program’s transition under Mike’s leadership.
